Luke Tibbitts, DDS, MD

Board Certified: Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Tibbitts was born in Weisbaden, Germany but grew up in South Texas once his parents retired from the Air Force. From a young age, he enjoyed being outside, playing sports and family trips to Lake LBJ. While playing high school soccer, he suffered facial injuries that required treatment from his local Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. The formative experience fueled his interest in pursuing a future career in the specialty.

Dr. Tibbitts went on to play soccer at Trinity University, in San Antonio, TX and next attended the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. His hard work was rewarded with acceptance into a six-year Oral & Maxillofacial residency at the University of Kentucky. During his advanced training, he was exposed to the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with heavy emphasis on facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, dental alveolar surgery, dental implants, full mouth rehabilitation with implants, benign & malignant pathology.

While in Kentucky, he developed a passion for collecting bourbon, became a UK basketball fan, and met his lovely wife. Once finished with residency, he chose to take his newfound skills and interests back to his Texas roots. Dr. Tibbitts and his family happily reside in the Austin area and enjoy time with family, exploring new restaurants, watching sports with friends, hiking, or beating the heat out on Lake LBJ.
